A truism is a statement that is generally accepted as obviously true and is repeated so often that it has become boring.
例如:Whilst this might sound like a truism, it is nevertheless a crucial problem to address.

cliche a phrase or an idea that has been used so often that it no longer has much meaning and is not interesting.
How can it be cliché? It's a fable! It's telling a time-honoured story!
