一部分是to the practice of camping, as to the package tour
这部分的用法是object to sth, 不同意；不赞成；反对
Many local people object to the building of the new airport.
许多当地的居民反对兴建新机场。

一部分是that the traveller abroad thereby denies himself the opportunity of getting to know the people of the country visited
这部分that引导宾语从句。object可以接宾语从句，表示“反对说”
Cullen objected that his small staff would be unable to handle the added work
卡伦提出反对，说他的人手较少，无法完成额外工作。
