Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.

The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) 傲慢与偏见的读后感，来自新华文轩网上书店的网友：起初老师布置作业，让我们课外读英文名著。我选了情节比较为人所熟知的《傲慢与偏见》，因为之前看过05年版的电影。此书的确很合我意，左边是英文原著，右边是中文翻译，方便阅读和理解。有时看英文看不下去，即可看中文。看着中文的翻译，可推测出某些难懂的英文单词的意思，对词汇的扩展也有好处。中文的翻译也比较准确，表达出了作者的原意。唯一的小缺憾是中文翻译出来的人名不够纯正，班纳特变成贝内特，彬格莱变成宾利等等，和我原来知道熟悉的名字有些不同，不过这不影响主体内容。
