Hugh Jackman showed up at a midnight showing of his new film X-men Origins: Wolverine in the U.S. on Thursday night - and was booed by film fans.
The actor slipped in to a city cinema and decided to surprise the audience just before the film started.
He explains, "We ran the trailers as normal and then all of a sudden the lights went up and they were like, 'Boo.'
"I said, 'Sorry, there's been a technical problem...' and they're like, 'Wolverine!'"
The booing was then replaced by cheering.
The blockbuster has grossed $35 million (£23.4 million) on its first day of release in the U.S.
